Child Advocacy Center Staff

The Child Advocacy Center staff will provide community education and professional training on issues related to child abuse and trauma.

FVIP Speaker's Bureau

The Niagara County Family Violence Intervention Project's (FVIP) Speaker's Bureau provides high quality, on-site professional training on topics related to family violence.  Made up of a group of professionals with knowledge and expertise in this area, the Speaker's Bureau, coordinated by the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara, has made countless presentations to agencies across Niagara County.  Presentation formats are flexible and can be adjusted to fit the scheduling contraints and training needs of any organiztion.  Trainings are free and can be provided on-site or at an alternate location.

Training topics include:

  • Dynamics of domestic violence
  • Dating violence / date rape
  • Effects on children of domestic violence in the home
  • Domestic violence and victims with special needs
  • Law enforcement response to domestic violence
  • Assisting victims of domestic violence
  • Healthcare issues and domestic violence

  • Therapeutic issues for victims of child abuse
  • Child abuse identification
