




CAIP TeamThe Child Abuse Intervention Project (CAIP)The Child Abuse Intervention Project (CAIP) is the culmination of nearly two decades of interagency cooperation in Niagara County. The CAIP team includes a variety of agencies involved in the response to child abuse. Current participants in CAIP include:
CAIP addresses the most serious forms of suspected child abuse and maltreatment, including child fatalities, severe or near-fatal injuries, physical child abuse and child sexual abuse. CAIP also serves the needs of children involved in the criminal justice process as a result of witnessing violence. It represents an attempt to re-cast Niagara County's efforts in a coordinated manner, employing state-of-the-art methods and facilities in an attempt to best serve the needs and requirements of the child-victim.
