Services Provided

Services are provided at the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara for children referred through the multidisciplinary team.  These include:

  • A child-friendly atmosphere for interviews
  • Medical evaluations
  • Coordination of investigative, legal, medical and mental health services
  • Counseling
  • Forensic interviews
  • Information and referral
  • Education and training
  • Family services advocacy
  • Family Violence Intervention Project
  • Child Fatality / Serious Injury Review Team

The Child Advocacy Center of Niagara provides leadership and support for a comprehensive, coordinated multi-disciplinary response to allegations of child abuse in a single, child-friendly site.  The Child Advocacy Center coordinates Niagara County's Child Abuse Intervention Project (CAIP) which includes law enforcement, social services, medical, mental health and victim assistance professionals who help to support and protect children and their families.

The Child Advocacy Center also coordinates the county's Child Fatality / Serious Injury Review Team and the Family Violence Intervention Project which addresses overlapping issues of child abuse and domestic violence.
